BATHHOUSE

A dry sauna, a steam room, a 38C magnesium hot pool and a cold plunge on Coventry Street, run as booked sessions rather than open bathing - mostly hourly, with a 30-minute early slot and a 45-minute express at the end of the night. Weekdays start at 5.30am, which is the earliest on this list, and the last session finishes about 8.45pm Monday to Thursday. Weekends are shorter, and Sunday evenings carry an Aufguss ritual session. A single visit is $40, or $50 for two if you have not been before; ten visits work out at $32 each. There is also an unlimited bathhouse pass at $69 a week. You can come as a one-off rather than a member, but you do have to book - the timetable is the whole system.
